Terms of Service

Last updated: October 30, 2026

DIY Your Fundraiser is a service of Invoke Technologies, Inc., a Missouri corporation (“Invoke,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Service govern your use of DIY Your Fundraiser (the “Service”), including the website at www.diyyourfundraiser.com and the organizer dashboard at dashboard.diyyourfundraiser.com.

The same platform also runs fundraising sites under other names for fundraising companies we work with. These Terms apply on those sites too, wherever they say they are powered by Invoke Technologies, Inc..

Accepting these terms

You accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy by ticking the box that asks you to when you create an account, accept an invitation to one, sign in, or sign up to fundraise in a campaign, and by using the Service. When we change them in a way you should agree to, we ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. We record when you accepted, and which version.

1. Accounts

Organizers must provide accurate information, keep their credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under their account and their organization.

2. Organizations and campaigns

Organizations are responsible for the accuracy of their campaigns, for how raised funds are used, and for complying with applicable laws, including any charitable solicitation and tax requirements.

3. Payments

Online payments are processed by Stripe. Organizations must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Funds are paid out to the organization’s connected account according to Stripe’s payout schedule.

4. Fees and donor tips

The Service charges a platform fee on online donations (currently 10% by default), reduced by any optional tip the donor chooses to add, as described on our Pricing page. Tips support the Service and are not donations to the organization.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for fraudulent, unlawful, deceptive, or harmful fundraising.

6. Refunds and disputes

Donations are generally final. A donor who wants a refund should contact the organization they gave to, or us at support@diyyourfundraiser.com. We or the organization may refund a donation in whole or in part, for example for a duplicate or mistaken gift, suspected fraud, or where the law or card network rules require it.

  • Online donations: the refund goes back to the card or account the donor paid with. The organization’s share of the refunded amount is taken back from its Stripe account, and we return the matching part of our platform fee. The organization is not charged Stripe’s processing fee for a refund.
  • Tips: a tip is separate from the donation. It is refunded only if the donor asks for it and we approve.
  • Cash and check gifts recorded by an organization are not processed by us. Any refund of them is between the donor and the organization. An organization can void a recorded gift whose money was never received.
  • Receipts: the donor’s receipt shows any refund or void.

If a donor disputes a charge with their card issuer (a chargeback), we respond to the dispute and may ask the organization for information about the gift. While the dispute is open, the organization’s share of the gift is taken back from its Stripe account, and the gift can’t be refunded or moved. If the dispute is decided for us, that share is returned to the organization; if it is decided for the donor, it is not. We pay Stripe’s dispute fee.

If an amount owed back for a refund or dispute can’t be recovered from the organization’s Stripe account, the organization agrees to repay it to us.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Through DIY Your Fundraiser, Invoke Technologies, Inc. provides software that helps organizations run fundraisers. We are not a charity, we do not solicit donations ourselves, and we do not verify an organization’s claims, its tax-exempt status, or how it uses the funds it raises. Whether a donation is tax deductible depends on the organization and the donor’s own circumstances.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, donations, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the platform fees the claimant’s organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the updated date above. Questions: hello@diyyourfundraiser.com.
